2.5D Posters
Both of these 2.5D posters were part of a first semester assignment that required me to create a retro poster with a 2.5D effect.
The requirements were as follows...

To create an animated poster for a film and give the taste of an epic story.

It must be 1920x1980px, include bitmap(s) as well as vector and text elements.

Research into retro film posters, propaganda, old advertisements and pulp novels.

Decide on genre.

Write a brief story outline / character profiles – include in Journal.

Drafting story outline / conducting visual research should be an iterative process.

Organise artwork into 3+ layers (fore -, mid -, background).

Animate with a parallax effect.

Should loop, or fade in / out.

About 5 seconds long.

Include simple audio tracks.

Two versions – landscape and portrait.

This is a 2.5D retro poster that was created and composited in Photoshop for my chosen film genre, "Cleaver", inspired by the 1970s-1980s and the films produced in this timeframe.
